Map Your Miracle

The purpose of this exercise is to help you realize God has been present in your life from a very early age without you realizing it.  However, you must be willing to be entirely honest with yourself in all the incidents you recall and the circumstances involving the miraculous outcome of the incident.

This assignment is an intense thinking exercise which will require you to recall the earliest memory you have of a particular incident where there is no logical explanation as to how it occurred, or an extraordinary incident with no answers.  Some examples could be being at the right place, at the right time for you to receive something from another person or source (a job, a favor, a recognition, or accolade).  It could be some kind of extraordinary kindness or favor someone showed you without any reason why it happened.  It could be an incident where you were saved, perhaps an accident, or a scary incident where you ended up unscathed but shouldn’t have been spared from harm.  It could be receiving a gift from someone, and you don’t know why the other person was so kind.  Recall any incident that sticks out in your mind – you witnessed an unusual phenomenon.

To make this exercise exciting, buy a large poster board so you will be able to visualize the progression.  Begin with the earliest age of the first occurrence and describe the scenario, how you felt before, in the middle of the occurrence, and even afterwards. Write those feelings down in detail. As you progress from the earliest memory you have, keep mapping your miracles sequentially.  Always include your age (as you best remember), and all details surrounding the incident.  Design the map however you desire, but have it lead you throughout the course of your life up until the present.  Be as accurate and thorough as possible.  Remember, these are incidents that were totally unexplainable according to human reasoning.
