About Me
Gwendolyn H. Wilkinson
I am a native-born Texan and currently reside in New Braunfels, Texas. I received my B.A. in Journalism with a Minor in English, and my M.A. in English, with a Minor in Sociology. I am a retired English Professor after 33 years in Academia. During my teaching career, I was privileged to have taught all levels in English, from Freshman Composition to English Literature and Technical Writing. My career extended to teaching at several prominent Texas Universities before retiring in 2020.
During my teaching career, I wrote several course curricula, some major business proposals for several Universities, several editorials for a local newspaper, and served as the Assistant Editor of the Journal of the Central Texas Historical Association, Central Texas Studies for two years.
I am beginning a new, exciting journey in my life as an Author/Writer and Christian Mentor, and I am excited to see where the Lord is leading me. To date, I have had one novel published and have three additional books in the making. Recently, I completed all required accredited courses from Jake’s Divinity School and received my Leadership Certificate. I am excited to see where God will take this venture. I owe everything to my Lord, Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would have never experienced all that I have. I give Him all the glory and honor.
My mission is two-fold: to help as many people as possible discover their purpose and meaning in life, and to be a Mentor to those who are struggling with their spiritual growth, who feel lost and alone, who are new Christians without a solid foundation, who do not understand how God works in their lives, or those who just don’t know Jesus but who are wanting to know Him.
My purpose is two-fold: to provide solid Biblical principles, a truthful foundation for discovering meaning and purpose in life, and to mentor those who are searching for spiritual answers, to those who are feeling lost, rejected, alone and even hopeless, but willing to change direction in their lives. I will lead you to discover the answers you have been longing for.
God is giving me an opportunity to share my unbelievable testimony as an illustration of what He can accomplish through the life of someone willing to follow Him wholeheartedly. By sharing my testimony, life experiences and the love of Jesus Christ with those who are feeling lost I know I can help show there is always an answer and hope for a brighter future.
